Converting Powerpoint Presentations to PDF's prior to Lesson Upload

This article is intended to help with lesson preparation, where Microsoft PowerPoint presentations will not upload to Teachers' lesson(s) as their file size is too large:

1. Download the file to be used from the usual source on SharePoint.
2. Go to file explorer : and view the file concerned in downloads; in this case our example 'How can we explain a family' PowerPoint presentation:
   
   
   
   
3. Ensure that the file size column is enabled, if the PowerPoint [.pptx] file concerned is => 30,000KB then this is too large for uploading.
   
   
4. In the case of the above, open the file concerned in PowerPoint and then go to ->File-> Save as :
   
   
   
   
5. Ensure that the correct file is selected and then choose .PDF as the save file type as shown above and save the file.
   
   
6. Check in file explorer that the new .pdf file's size is acceptable :
   
   
   
   as can be seen in our example the file size of the pdf is considerably smaller than the corresponding pptx file and is below the 30,000KB threshold
   
   
7. You can now upload the pdf to the lesson concerned.
